There's no doubt Queensland possess some very talented players right now - certainly more than we have in the key positions. But it is plainly impossible to like this mob. In the past, we New South Welshman would begrudgingly admire the likes of Lewis, Belcher, Renouf, Sailor, Miles etc but I challenge you to find one person south of Innisvale that thinks Billy Slater or Cam Smith are top blokes?
This current team, led by that arsehole Jonathon Thurston, swagger around as though the very fabric of League would crumble if it weren't for their presence. And the neanderthal horde of dickhead fans who reckon Qld run League by virtue of the fact they get 30k to every club game - news flash - you've got 1 fucking team to support in Brisbane!!
This week we've had Mal fucking Meninga come out and say the whole state of NSW is racist because we don't play AS MANY Indigenous players as they do! Save for the fact that Nathan Merritt and Preston Campbell probably could have got a run by now, we've played the outstanding Indigenous players when the opportunity has presented. Shit, didn't we blood Jamal Idris in the last game?? Fucking idiot!
But never mind that! We get belted by a bunch of cheating bastards (who should flat out not be allowed to play Inglis and who's side comprises heavily of Melbourne players who KNOWINGLY took a shit on the entire NRL) and people are swooning!!

You've got two blokes, Sam Thaiday and Darius Boyd, who were accused of assaulting a woman in a public toilet - the latter demonstrating beyond doubt his capacity for being a twat during that 'interview' last year. This by the way is the same Sam Thaiday who smugly boasted that he came in to rescue his teammate "because they're all his family" - oh get your hand off it! You've got Jonathon Thurston, who curiously never seems to be far from the action when scandal breaks - particularly involving women. And you've got Greg Inglis, who apparently can belt 7 shades of shit out of his girlfriend but due to one person's stupidity is made to look like the reincarnation of Eddie Mabo!

Can't stand Thaiday - he is an absolute thug who was allowed to get away with murder last night - rushing in to every single melee that erupted.
I hate to say it but the whole thing could end up blowing up in Tahu's face because he def gave a lot of ammo to the queenslanders last week.
On another note, another thing that shits me is the selection of Folau. Now I really do like the game of AFL and watch the Swans every weekend while keeping an eye on the other results as well. But Folau has been offered mega-bucks to promote their game in our heartland. State of Origin is the ultimate promotion of Rugby League. Does anyone see a conflict of interests here??
I have no problem with Folau showing up for the Broncos every week as he is contracted with them until the end of the year but Origin is a privilege that should be reserved only for those who want to forward the cause of Rugby League.
You can bet your bottom dollar had it been Hayne that was poached by AFL and NSW selected him for Origin, Queensland would have screamed the house down!
Let's face it, Queenslanders have 'little-man syndrome' - probably because the only real contribution they've made to this country is the introduction of the fire ant and cane toad!

NSW gets accused for not selecting Indigenous people, maybe the fact that the ones born here are playing in a maroon jumper is the reason why! Inglis, Hunt, Boyd, Thurston, Thaiday, should all have been locked up over the last couple of years for things that they have committed and been let off for.
At the end of the day NSW were beaten again by a superior rugby league side, nothing more nothing less.
Suck it up Bourbon Man, there is probably another couple of years of Queensland winning but I am sure it will turn back to the Blues again.

When people criticise the Eels, I ask them how they could possible hate a team with the likes of Nathan Hindmarsh, Luke Burt, Nathan Cayless, Ben Smith, Tim Mannah, Krisnan Inu, and Shane Shackleton in it? These boys are all genuine nice guys and the game simply does not make them like these boys anymore. I have often said that if a man like Anthony Watmough came and played for the Eels, I would stop supporting the blue and gold, because we do not need filth like this at our Club.
Being a team is about so much more than winning. i would rather a team full of nice, genuine, respectful gracious men, than have to support a team like QLD, who make Captain Hook look friendly! QLD is pervaded by filthy, grubby characters (barring the likes of men like Darren Lockyer), most of which have done nothing but bring our wonderful game into disrepute.
So QLD can take this series and I will stick to loving my team of genuine nice guys. :-)
Parramatta has the biggest 'no dickheads' policy of any NRL club by a long, long way.
There have been countless players shifted out of the club on that basis alone.
The very same criticisms leveled on the Australian cricket team can be leveled on Qld rugby league right now, and I nominated SOME examples to back up what I said.
