Not his fault and he has played well when he has had opportunities but why have him on the bench if he is only ever going to get 5-10 minutes. May as well have another big bopper there, we could have used one tonight. Stoney not getting a lot of time either.
I think Smith is a decent utility but if no plan for him then dont waste him!

Agree reckon these type of games is where Smith would do well from dummy half. Mahoney played good but if given a rest .when he comes back on after the spark that i reckon smith would provide i think the eels could go on and win. They would of got more scoring opportunities if there was more fresher legs around the ruck. Eels shot themselves in the foot though. No composure just too frantic. Hopefully they learn from this game.
Yep I agree
they need to decide what they are going with
no benefit from sending will in with ten to go
not sure he would have been the answer tonight
I said this in an earlier blog this week, Will Smith is the perfect back up playmaker, he's too good for NSW Cup but not good enough to be an NRL starter, therefore not really in demand, therefore relatively cheap cap hold.
What has been clear this season is that teams can play with 15 or 16 men, but they can't play with a make shift playmaker in any of the 4 spine positions, you have to have a legit back up, and Smith is that man for us.
That must be BA's plan because bringing him on for last 5 is a waste. He is basically a reserve for one of the spine who may get injured.
I think he's there for a reserve back.
There can't be two 18th men only one and it was Dunster
