I really hope Sandow realises that he's jepodising his career & family's immediate future most of all & can reach out his and work with the club & the club grabs his hand & makes the best of this year.
H O E,
I agree, We all would like Door 1. If Sandow has a major awakening and is able to convince BA and the Boys he is 100% commited then I would be able accept him back. Then he produces a MOM performance and helps with a win against the Cowboys., this would go some way to having all this sorry drama put behind us . What are the chances of that happening? very slim, some would say "Your Dreamin" but who knows what Sandow could do. If he was to leave, I think we would miss his cordination of attack, kicking game and especially his goal kicking. Without these contibutions,we have no chance of top 8 and I would say we will be closer to the bottom of the ladder than near 8th, I think it is too late in the year to replace what Sandow can provide when he is switched on and Kelly is not NRL standard let alone trying to cover for Sandows strengths
What door do I think is more than likely to happen. I think Door 2. Sandows position within the team has been severely damaged and is best for all parties to go their own ways but no payout just one months severence pay.
Door 3 would be too toxic for all parties involved and I think BA and the team would not want this negative influenence to continue to affect the team environment.
Thanks for the post and I am sure BA and the club have discussed what are their options and your sliding doors would be in their discussions
#2 pls. Except take out the payment. Don't want the grub wearing the club's colours again.
Sandow reminds me of a "lazy apprentice with a poor attitude" who also has a bit of ability.
Because of his inclination to be lazy he won't have a go if he's off his feed or on the rags that week.
Because of his natural ability he thinks everyone should be thankful instead of reminding him of our expectations of HIM as we have to get X amount of work done in a limited amount of time and although he's going better than the "other" apprentice that doesn't excuse him from keeping it up until knockoff time.
Because of his P. Poor attitude it's easier to be the victim or refuse to submit to authority therefore he doesn't realise that he can get the arse no different to a gun tradesman if his attitude becomes a threat to the overall good of the team and that decision is not and will not be his.
Thank God we have a strong and responsible coach in B.A.
Hell On Wheeks all the anti- Sandow blogs say more about the bloggers rather than Chris Sandow. I think the issue has been handled poorly. Chris is a human being, like all of us,with human foibles. He should be treated with due respect and fair consideration. I hope the Eels have a resident branch of the Players Union on site and that that branch provides help to Chris in negotiations with the Club and not leave him hung-out to- dry with his manager only for advice.
Respect is a 2 way way street, and the club has done anything but give him respect. Especially through 'HIS' tough times which wasn't the best interest of the club at the time
