Slater Stamps His Name in History

Billy Slater will be immortalized on Australia Day when a series of postage stamps with Australian footballing legends on them. Other players include Socceroo Mark Schwarzer, Wallaby David Pocock and AFL Gary Ablett jnr. As well as that there are 4 retired legends including Ron Barassi, Stuart Raper and David Campese. However, the question has to be asked. Why is Slater on the stamp instead of someone like Lockyer or Thurston or Cam Smith? The criteria was said to be someone who hast contributed heavily to Australia's dominance in world sport. Well Slater was injured for the 4 Nations and has won just 1 out of 3 tournaments he's been a part of. Whereas Lockyer has won 2 World Cups and countless 4 Nations, Tri-Nations and Ashes Series. Slater isn't a legend of the sport and hasn't even won a legitement Premiership. It should've been a true legend of the sport like Lockyer, Civoniceiva, Thurston or even our own Hindmarsh.

Wow Slater ahead of Locky, or did the player have to be still playing in 2012? ethier way there is plenty in the lineup in front of Slater.

  It said a current player and a legend. Even if Lockyer wasn't available for current player there a plenty ahead of Slater in terms of helping Australia remain dominant in International Rugby League considering his brain snap cost us the World Cup in 2008.

  About 20 years ago I was watching Hey Hey it's Saturday and Molly had quit smoking, so the guy upstairs I think John Blackman or whatever his name was said, "so you have given up the fags, hey molly" and everybody including Molly started laughing. I didn't know what they were on about until 10 years later when I saw Molly on TV dancing on a float at the mardi gra.
