Plans to stage the coup have begun, including the drafting of 24 resolutions that will ensure the current board is removed and replaced by one with the business acumen required to resurrect the Eels.The decision of the 'gang of five' – chairman Steve Sharp, deputy Tom Issa, fellow director Peter Serrao, CEO John Boulous and footy ops manager Daniel Anderson – not to stand down after receiving their breach notices, even when competition points were at risk, is the last straw for many PLC members. One of them, local businessman Andrew Eagleston, is leading the push for reform."The club doesn't have the stability to reach its potential on and off the field," Eagleston said."We need change and a fresh start. Why would the members rush this process ?? Stupid if true!
There is no rush the club is ticking over the cash, junior development and PDJRL is sound and we have a great team and coaching staff capable of winning the Comp if allowed to? Makes no sense to rush this process, surely the intelligent thing to do is sit back and wait for the proceedings and hopefully the true position and what the so called 'gang of five' have done individually? I mean we need to make individuals accountable for what decisions they made and how they acted individually - not just take them all out the back and shoot them all in the head for everything that has gone on over the last 5 years? If this story is true it would be the worst thing for parra ATM !

  Putty, I personally don't care about who is on the Board, only that Eels management is competent and trustworthy. So I find your view astoundingly narrow. It's perfectly reasonable to want change given the situation the Board has allowed to occur on its watch. Isn't it time for some realism?

I think the problem with this is they are the only ones who know the full story and can respond to the allegations brought by the NRL.
Any new board member will just step in and not question anything the NRL alleged happened.

Me too Daz, I couldn't care who runs it either. But why are you quick to presume that the sackings of players involved in most of this, have no relationship to the club wanting the same?
Are you certain that all the things we in the poo for aren't dating back to pre Seward times or of them? I don't have a clue but based on leaks in the media etc it's kinda strange that with all our many signings post Seward we don't seem to hear much in the way of no-no's
Anyone who has been complicent in our current grief should step aside. Trouble is we have no chance of knowing that until our exact misdemeanours with solid facts, re signings made to whom dates etc.

Otherwise, inadvertently maybe putting the ppl in power that have helped brought on our demise. That would hint at untrustworthiness gaining the upper hand to me. You?

I mean - we can't let this get off the front page now - can we?

Interesting that a major disaster such as an earthquake (or similar) with the loss of lives will drop off after 3 days but the Eels can hold the entire nation enthralled for months on end with front page news.

I wish I could say I was surprised by this move - BUT.......................... *YAWN*

Exactly Fuuui and that's exactly the way it was hoped it would all go down it seems.

And apparently now, the NRL are wanting Sewards info sealed so as he can maintain HIS privacy, he mayve been promised not sure. But can't see how it's fair that the accused, (and that includes the club as a whole), who allowed the rat to talk may, not have the opportunity to see what he has accused us of. The guy at the centre of all this who's allegations and acts have been crucial to sealing our fate. There is another side of the story that should be told, even if it's total nincumpoopness and naivety, in trusting the wrong bloke who you hired.
Really hope the club get to present their side of the story and we get the chance to clear our 2016 club from being labelled the greatest rorters of all time.

You want the 5 opposing privatisation gone so the crowd wanting privatisation can take over.

Thimgs that make you go Hmmmmm.

Now - the RESOLUTION passed at the AGM was for the board to start on getting something in place to ensure privatisation would be immpossible without something like 75% voting in favout.

It WAS NOT the plug to seal that situation - ONLY for the board to START the process for protection against privatisation.

Like I keep telling you lot - its all in the timing.

And in this case the timing is right to ditch those who are trying to stop privatisation.
