Signings next season

Now it will be difficult to sign players next season. However, with de gois going (200K), Paulo already gone (150K), Watmough gone (800K), Norman will not get as much as what he was hoping (from 450 to 600K max) we may have some money to wiggle on to strengthen our squad. Yes we may be short 500K from the NRL who may take that off us as a form of discipline, but if we sign good players who are mid range we may ok. Scott, Foran, Gordon and Jennings have played Origin and/or International football, leading to big pay checks, we should look at a segeyaro. Whose form has been down and with that should be looking at signing for the same money he is on now at Penrith, which wouldn't be that much. Than look at a Paul Vaughan or Shaun Fensom from Canberra. You can tell they are for some reason out of favour at Canberra, Stuart is bringing in this attack heavy team at Canberra and obviously Fensom is seen more as a tackling machine than an attacker. Our team is based off a strong defence, Fensom and Vaughan would thrive off our playing style. Also Baptiste, who I think would be able to sign for peanuts, would be a very handy 2nd hooker to place on the bench.

I may be wrong but just my opinion and my fantasies of next season. We should sign young players who either need a regain in form and can come cheap, or hidden gems who are ready to break through. Cause even though we may have no choice, we cant do much with the team we have now, with or without Foran.

  • Segeyaro, Vaughan, Sironen, Segeyaro, Moa, George Jennings, Mead, Rein, Wallace and Kenny Bromwich would be my shortlist
  • All those Canberra players you named are handy, I wouldn't mind any.
  • We wont be getting anyone
  • I agree with Paul Vaughan not with Fensom though, he and tepai are not to different! Segy and baptiste would be good but I want Jarryd to come home most of all
  • Paul Vaughan for sure
  • Vaughan, Sironen (utility value, good passing and kicking game), Moa and possibly Kenny Bromwich

  • I like how you now just accept it and leave the brick wall alone
  • You talk about the players off contract freeing up money but forget about the re-signings and their upgrades.
French, Jennings (no longer subsidised by the Roosters), Pritchard, Alvaro, Twal and Norman (if he stays) will all be on plenty more than their current values. I see about $800k worth of upgrades there.
    • Pritchard Alvaro and Twal already have deals with eels
    • Salary cap goes up and I'm sure we can fix those dodgy TPAs before 2017. There does seem ti be some money available for next year. BA is up to something definitely.

1. Who would you like to see get flogged in Vegas - Gutherson or D. Brown. Or maybe they don't concern you and are only focused on us. For mine its Gutherson, I've never liked him off the park. Sure on the park he gave everything, but his contract…

"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."

"positives are Loiero is out. That is a big piece of their middle, he does a lot of clean up work in defence, tightens up the attack. No Katoa and they are umming and arring whether to play Ativalu Lasati or Joe Chan on right edge.
