Hey guys as a loyal (some would say tragic) supporter of the eels, I would have to say the last few months have been difficult. There has been a silver lining though and that has been the resolve of the fans and the slight hope that there is a pinhole of hope in the long tunnel that is this season. Lets make no mistake that the hope of us making the finals is due to Nathan Peats moving to the Titans. I would like to propose that as a show of respect for what Peats did for our club and also a sign of disrespect to the board members that let this happen on their watch. I would like to propose that at the start of the ninth minute all the fans turn their backs to the game as one united group.
Just a thought but like him or not Peats is the reason we are playing for points.

Let's not make a political statement at a game. A round of applause or a "Peatsy" chant on the 9th minute would be more suited.
Nathan wont be at the game but will be watching at home.
Wouldn't it be great for him to hear us chanting "Peatsy" for 20 or 30 seconds just prior to game-time.
All we have to do is someone to start and we'll all follow.
Let's show him our feelings over him going.
That's as long as the NRL doesn't view it as a breach.
I think a standing applause and/or Peatsy chant at the 9th minute of each/either half would do better.
Still need to show support for the boys, and turning our backs to them will be somewhat holding the players responsible too.
