SHOULD WE REST OUR PLAYERS?

Now that parra has made the finals 8, should we rest our players to keep them fresh and injury free or will that affect our performance, Also, the mood in the camp might not be so desperate to win now that the team knows we are in.

  • No, absolutely not. Unfortunately their piss poor start to the year does not allow them this luxury. They have max 4 weeks to go of sudden death footy once the finals start. If they can;'t lift for that, then well they just aren' up to NRL standard.
  • Other teams are dropping off like flies ...... we need to keep & maintain tempo.....no Parra team changes required......
  • The quote from Daniel Anderson was that they had 12 players in doubt on Monday, five in doubt by Wednesday and then everyone was good by the weekend. If we had any players who would genuinely benefit from getting a week off, I would seriously consider it. We have Brod Wright and Jeremy Latimore who could come in and do the job for a week without making too big an impact to the side.
  • No need for resting players they need to be battle hardern for the semi's, the Dragons will be a great test for us before the big games start.

If we beat them I don't think we will fear any other team.

The mood I think will not change as they can move further up the ladder with a win.

    GO PARRA
  • Simple answer... NO, Too risky.
  • We're not in a position to rest players, team cohesion is the most important aspect of our squad at the moment.
  • I remember the last time our players got a week off. It was back in 2005, the weekend before we played the Cowboys.
    • What happened then Camo? lol
  • its a tough call, i'd rest some players who were carrying naging injuries or feeling a bit burnt out. I'd hate for jarryd hayne to get injured in this game that means little now, we are definately in the 8, however i love watching him play and parra are a much better team with him in it.

I'd make it a players call, if they wanna play then let them play, if they want a week off before semis then let them have it.
  • No need.

why would you want to be rested when the team is on fire.

i would not want to give up my spot for a week off.
