"But that's the thing. We currently don't have JDB for next year. Barnett would effectively be taking his spot. If JDB plays out of his skin we do keep him and that's a good thing. If he is average then we just cut our losses and move on. I don't…"

I know he can play, and would be good to have but he's loyal to the church of the Holy Dollar..
Highest bidder gets him.
If there was no salary cap then yes.
Johnny pannucci : How much League and Union have you seen? Precious little I would say. There is not one forward in Union that would make it in the NRL Some have tried in the past and they have been complete flops. Most of those forwards "run" like arthritic draft horses. They would not last 15 minutes in league--thats why they play Union. They get quiet good money for doing bugger-all. As for the backs they are almost as bad--tackle shy to a man. Izzy would be a gross wast of money on his current form in Union. They want to get rid of him but it would be too great an embarrassment for Union to admit their mistake in signing him for top money. He may be so pissed off that he is going through the motions but he would need much evidence to convince any league scout worth his salt of that.
