Probably the only real bright spot from that game was Samrani and his trying scoring ability. If the eels aren't able to sign at least a decent back for next year should Samrani hold the spot or try Bailey at centre ? Unsure

If we do not sign another Centre, Samrani is 100% starting at Centre. Simonsson will compete with Kelly. Samrani playing over Russell late in the year was to give him more game time.
He really needs to work on his catch and pass game heading into next year if he's going to be a full time centre, and they might get him doing some speed work. He is pretty good but few things to work on. Target still needs to be Bostock or best long term

TBH I'd have Samarani over Penisini if we can land a decent centre.
This is left field but I'd love to see Penisini move into a hooker role. Either starting or coming off the bench and playing the role like Cheese does for the Chooks, with his strong carries.
I just feel Penisini lacks both the pace and skill to be a centre...
Bailey V Kelly is a tough one. Bailey a better finisher but Kelly really played well to end the season.
Both are good with carries as well. Simonsson is slightly faster and slightly less rocks and diamonds. But let them fight it out.
Yeah I didn't expect Kelly to have all the short kicking offloading and intercepting stuff in his game but he's really done well. Good competition for the spot is always a positive but

No! We should buy a real centre.
If they land Howarth immediately that does change things a bit. Best or Bostock are more 2028.
