Love to see some of you guys defend these guys with the same vigor you go after students. Remember the big guys attacked Gillard with daily front page headlines over an allegation of misappropriation of Around $5000 which happened 20 yrs ago. Peter Slipper $900, Craig Thompson $30000. Meanwhile some people go to weddings at your expense, get free travel, holidays, lunches,cars,even houses through negative gearing etc, and lets not forget welfare for big miners through your subsidy for fuel excise and pay little to no Tax. Scoosh lets not talk about that. Is the balance right??? Are we suckers for taking their bait and and going after kids school kids bonuses, heath, pensions, unemployed etc Maybe I am a lefty and should be dismissed?..

I loved China's stance on Murdoch and his Fox Group that grubby old leach has been trying for years to get into the Chinese media market, but the Chinese government actually changed laws restricting and further tightening laws in regards to foreign media ownership in their country, so Murdoch has given up and sold his remaining investments back to them, I have no sympathy for this grub of a human the sooner people realise he is nothing but a "pro-propaganda mouth piece"for governments that bow before him the sooner people may realise how much influence he actually has over the world!

Don't forget the automotive industry got huge payouts to keep manufacturing in Australia, the government has now stopped it and they are pulling out. So, which way is better? Pay out millions in incentives (the same as giving others tax breaks), keep industry' jobs and other small off Shute businesses. Or, stop the free money and people lose their jobs and small businesses fold?

If you are a worker, it's hard to get a job if there are fewer businesses.
Everyone should be contributing to Australia and it's future. That doesn't mean the only way is paying taxes. Volunteers contribute, just not financially.
Contribute or get out. That applies to every social level.
Big businesses do pay tax. They pay according to the schedules of tax. They get some benefits as they provide employment for 1000's of people. Without rich people, there will be no poor people.

Definitely tax rates need to be looked at for big business.
Only problem with that is we want to incentivise big business to hang around in Australia so if you tax the crap out of them they leave along with 1000s of jobs.
