  • Gee has a lot to answer for. Refused to meet with the NRL and answer questions when he was the star witness in the Broncos salary cap scandal

    • Anyone who doesn’t think every club is cheating the cap is an idiot. Oh hi Todd Greenberg

    • He knows they are cheating but choses to ignore them

    • The difference is that Seward was facing criminal charges, Gee isn’t. The NRL simply doesn’t have any leverage with Gee.

        • He hadn’t been charged at that point I don’t think, but it was definitely on the cards. Even so, the NRL has no legal authority to compel anyone to answer questions if they aren’t employed by the league or by a club, and he resigned.

I have it on impeccable authority that Gee loaned himself 300k from the Broncos Leagues Club without authorisation, and that was the extent of the drama surrounding him.

          • Ummmm Gee , couldn’t account for 300k that’d gone missing . I’d say he was well in the firing line for criminal charges .

The NRL were weak kneed when it came to The Broncos . They were given a pass . It wouldn’t have taken much pressing to trace the money trail but the NRL gave them a no case to answer within minutes .

The reason the NRL are pissed is because they gave Brisbane a get out of jail free card by making Gee the scapegoat and now they’ve gone and thrown it back in their face by parading Gee in the box .

          • Brett,

Of course Gee loaned himself $300K, Brisbane do their their closest TPA's better than any other club in the NRL. You can take it to the bank, that the Bronco's through the Thoroughbreds have a multitude of options to look after those that keep the best interests of Bronco's first and foremast.

It goes way back to the Gene Miles, Alfie, Kevy Walters, Tallis days. Do you really think Tallis sat out a year of fotty and didn't earn any money ??

  • Honestly no point in getting up in arms about it. They are far too important and powerful for any genuine action to happen. You might get the lip service from the NRL saying please explain when what they're really saying is we've looked but nothing to see here.
