SHIFT SIVO TO RIGHT WING

Been analyzing his game lately and can't help but think that the bloke needs to play on the right side of the field. He's very awkward when kicking back inside the field with his right foot and it's killing a lot of our sets.

I've noticed that he also carries the ball with more aggression when he comes out of the right hand side corner and runs in-field. Not to mention Penisinis ability to offload, which will create a lot more opportunities for Sivo close to the line instead of the rubbish Blake delivers. After all Simonsson was filling in at left wing for Canberra, assuming we stick with him.

  • Waqa is a try killer. It's beyond me how BA doesn't see it.

    • Takes all the room away from Sivo and hands him the ball with no breathing space, he'll reap the benefits with Penisni on his inside.

  • Waqa Blake has already set up two tries this year, and he's not getting in the way of Sivo scoring others. Sivo has scored five tries in five games this year. He's doing fine.

    • I like your attitude of it "aint broke" so why fix it Pou.

That said you don't have to be a mechanic to put together a Mechano set and see that it aint working as well as it should.

Sorry but any help this OBF can offer and lets respect it is not a huge request, lets give it a go. That said BA will only be more determined to do nothing.....his assistant coaches could be coming up with them (ideas) but I don't know that he actually listens?

    • Lucky you aren't the coach, as he won't be setting up anymore - thank fuck for that..

      • He wasn't dropped for his inability to set up tries. He's won 90 NRL games ffs. He's no reserve grader. He's just badly out of form. Hopefully reserve grade resets him.

        • How do you know why he was dropped? Yes he's out of form and Arthur didn't look happy last week when he ran Sivo out of room twice so that inability to  straighten and commit defenders is part of it

          • I know he wasn't dropped for his inability to set up tries because it isn't his weakness. That issue with the Roosters' sliding defence is that he was trying too hard to set up Sivo. The only correct option was to to dig in and take the tackle, so he was dropped because he wouldn't chase the collision. But really, Drown should've dummied and gone himself when the Chooks were pushing so hard from the inside.

            • Blake's lack of footy nous is a pretty universally accepted weakness in his game. His strengths are his athleticism and strike. That part has gone missing and he hasn't scored so far or looked likely to score. When the strike ability goes with Blake the rest of his game isn't good enough to be in first grade.
