Sheens is not Gould, he cannot sway media that well, honestly sounds like he is buying time. Sounds that Papali'i has said he is happy to stay now after seeing the facilities (Don't you do that before you sign?) and speaking to Sheens. But talk is this has been known for months, leading into Brown and how the club are treating him. I think there will be trade of Brown and Perham for Papali'i simple as that. I know you cannot trade Perham as he is off-contract but simply pull negotiations away to let them have him. What is Sheens going to say? No he's gone, Tigers fans you can now panic. But i will say the fact they had to bring him in to do a tour and that is concerning.
But Sheens trying to get him over, i think it is more than who is coaching, the club itself is going nowhere despite Sheens coaching them. The article is half the same as another posted but has Sheens talking a bit down.

Papalii will go to the tigers.
Yep.
Yeh my gut says he'll go. He's too nice a guy to get into a war about this. Such a shame, but ah well.
Yeah it is an odd one, someone at Wests is most definately leaking stuff out of spite in the club. Whoever it is that's what Wests have to do, get them and sack them on the spot.
Papali'i is a nice guy and would feel bad about it, but it all depends on how Parramatta work behind the scenes, if they can get stuff done then who knows but at the end of the day the Tigers have leveridge. We offer Perham well they will take him anyway as he is off contract, offer Brown? Well we are desperate to get rid of him so they can get both Papali'i and Brown.
I am not willing to put money on either end to be honest.
If Papa played for another club, I'd be saying a contract is a contract.
Papa made his choice.
Very true, but it does happen time to time.
If it benefits us well we are human, if it was us he was leaving to go back to the Tigers we would be pissed and rightfully so. Though if we get him back, doubt people will complain about how he did it.
I remember it worked against us with Josh Papali'i.
Only difference is Josh Papalii did it about 1-2 months after signing if I'm right? Where Ice has been signed for 8 months.
Well he should have thought more about it before he decided to jump from the ship that gave him the opportunity.
I think something to consider is that the Tigers have dropped more than a million on Brooks. Papa is on a big whack his first year. So it could be that we may offer a player or two for Pap to stay which would give the Tigers some wriggle room if they wanted to offload Brooks.
