Sheens hints at Kangaroos changes

Australian coach Tim Sheens has given the strongest indication yet that he will ring the changes for Saturday's Four Nations clash against France after a host of big names sat out training on Monday. In a session held in bitterly cold conditions at the Leeds Met Carnegie field inside Leeds University's grounds, Sheens opted to sit out several of his stars with Cameron Smith and Billy Slater onlookers for much of the session.Newcastle skipper Kurt Gidley ran at fullback for the majority of the match simulation set, while Melbourne halfback Cooper Cronk, one of three players yet to get a start on tour, slotted in at hooker.Robbie Farah, who started last Saturday's 26-16 win over England on the bench, missed the session with a virus, while a host of forwards including Paul Gallen (neck), Anthony Watmough (concussion) and Brett White (knee) were also spectators.Justin Hodges didn't appear to be hampered too much by the knock to the nose he suffered against England, while centre partner Greg Inglis dispelled any concerns over his ankle injury by running strongly.Australia need to beat France on Saturday to ensure a berth in the final, where they would meet the winner of Saturday night's England-New Zealand match which is being played in Huddersfield
