I agree Stevo.
If I was a betting man I would have put big coin on Wigan and they were paying good odds.
Without Ennis, Holmes and Barba, the Sharks are a very different team.
I can definitely see Sharks doing a Leicester City and crashing terribly this year.
That campaign last year was simply heroic. It was won on guts and efforts and comraderie. Again, absolutely like LC.
It's basically impossible to do that all over again, the next year. All those little extra efforts that you make, because you so desperately want that Premiership, you just can't make again, because you don't have anywhere near that same motivation, because you've been to the top of the summit, and while the view is nice, it's probably not worth all that climbing again when it's so fresh in your memory.
You add losing Ennis and Barba, the age of blokes like Lewis and Gallen, and I agree that I think there are much better chance of missing the eight than they are to win the title. And as Leicester are showing, once you lose confidence, it's pretty difficult to stop from sliding all the way back down the mountain to the very bottom.
Because of how tight the competition is, coupled with the loss of half their important spine positions, I think with little luck injury wise they could even finish last. Big call but I'm tipping it. Last.
"HFK, Fair point. Sure, we could. But balancing incoming youth with experience is almost a perennial issue. A constant cycle. It never really goes away. At least not for too long. "
