I am a bit of a fence sitter on this subject but it is certainly a hot topic up where I live in Northern NSW with opinions deeply divided. What do our members think is an appropriate response to the increasing number of Shark attacks in fatalities?

Well it is the sharks ocean, the surfers are having fun in the sharks habitat, the sharks are just doing what Sharks do.
Having said that there is certain species of shark like the white that's numbers need to be controlled, we probably should be charging 100k to catch one, target tourists, put all that money back into fisheries and research.
That would actually create something from a sharks life if its going to be taken, its not all for nothing.
Nets are not the answer, they kill too much innocent byproduct.
I've seen them via boats, and we enter the beach or lake or ocean which is where they live. It's called choice. I'm no bloody greeny but when I hear about sharks in media and the drama surrounding it I feel sick. Sharks cop a bad deal, and when we see the finning going on in Asia that makes me sick too.
Really does this happen when someone is bitten by a snake? Spider.? It's dramatic and rubbish. Leave the Noah's alone, it's their domain we enter.,
you sound like a bloody greenie
CULL THE BIRDS! I'M SICK OF THEM FLYING PAST MY HOUSE!
