Ok, so it's looking increasingly likely that Parramatta will play the wait an see approach to give Arthur the benifit of the doubt for 2019.
Shane Flanagan has been brought up in various discussions and may be the perfect fit if management decide the club need to head in a new direction for 2020.
Flanagan, an ex Parramatta player and long serving reserve grade coach under Brian Smith, would be the absolute perfect fit for this club moving forward, and Parramatta should absolutely move heaven and earth to get him back to the club for 2020.
Flanno reinvented an absolute rabble Sharks outfit with limited resources and on the brink of bankruptcy, but managed to build a successful finals winning roster, and actually used his own funds to build the club's gym when they couldn't afford one.
Definitely the best coach available and off contract at the end of 19, meaning the club may have to move quickly to secure his services. Would command a million dollars plus which he rightly deserves.
Would you guys agree Flanno would be a great fit at Parramatta? Definitely a great opportunity.

I am actually wearing my Flanno at the moment Chief; If and i say IF things do not work out then i would like someone strong and tough and he would seem to be a decent choice.
Flanagan would be a good fit Chief but if he is going to be given a football Manager and more staff wouldn't it be unfair to BA not to give him at least a third of a season with the same opportunity and then if there is no improvement by all means let BA go having said that Parra could have a quiet word with Flanagan to see if he would be interested in taking over if BA fails

I think that's a little unfair brett. There no doubt there's been controversial times, but Flanno has had a very successful era that can't all be related to Dank's influence.

I have no issue with Shane Flanagan, but changing the coach isn’t the answer without at least reviewing our entire footy department and getting the very best structure in place first, unless you have inside knowledge of how BA runs the team.
I agree it’s unfair to lay the entire blame for the ASDA debacle and the ensuing spoon that came with it at Flanno’s feet, but no more unfair than for saying that BA only took us to one finals appearance in 5 years, when we know that we won enough games in 2016 to play finals footy, and probably would’ve made the top 4 if we didn’t have to shed Foz, Jnr & Peats, and then lose 12 competition points. If we’d played finals footy in 2016, who knows how that experience would’ve benefited us in last years finals. We’ll never know.
Brett, BA is off contract in 2019. This blog was a suggestion for 2020.
