Shack's Long Road Back

Last year I sat in the stands and cringed at the replays of Shack tearing his hamstring. I felt so bad for the guy. He played 22min last season. I met him at a fan day 7 weeks later and asked him how he was going. He said he wanted to be back for Round 21. It is a testament to how a player's mind can lift them to a new level. He may not have played another game last year but he had a target he was determined to reach and even though he  didn't reach it he gave it all he had. It would've been so easy for him to just lay back and give up. This year he has played every match and scored the match winner against the Titans. Shack is now one of the best forwards at Parramatta and will definitely be an origin contender in years to come. Shack has come a long way from last year and hopefully he will continue to improve this year.

  • Rate him highly..
  • In This exact game last year he was injured against the dragons in round 1 at parra. I was in the crowd devestated when i saw him come off. He has been great this year, one of our best.
  • It is a testament to the power determination and motivation,  and I salute Shacks for having the guts to keep going. Not too many could have made that comeback.
  • I think he's a great value for $$ buy...

Thought he was a 2nd rower more so than prop based on hs early peformances but starting to change my mind.... thoughts?

Is Shack's best position prop or back row?

  • I thought he was a second rower when he came to the club but after seeing him play prop i think his best position is prop.
  • Lets hope he can forget about the last time he lined up against the Dragons at Parramatta Stadium, and power on with a big game tomorrow night.
  • Yeah, he seems to be transforming into a prop. I saw an interview last year where he mentioned ball playing. Must have been joking around!
Speaking of back row to prop, is it just me or is Horo bulking up? He too moving into front row in future? A wide running front rower?!
  • I like him too , his been solid at best imo.

It's just the Shack and Allgood combination is just not working imo , they both come on together and provide 0 go forward , which leaves the halves having to kick from 20-40 metres out everytime.
