SG Ball through, but Matts bundled out

Parramatta's SG Ball side has continued though to the semi-finals beating the Sydney Roosters 35 to 22, however Harold Matthews have been knocked out of the competition by the Bulldogs.

 

SG Ball led 18 to 12 at half-time, before running away with the match 35 to 22 and they will now have the opportunity to work towards another Grand Final appearance.

 

Our Under 16 side, who finished the competition rounds in 2nd went down to the 7th placed Bulldogs. The Bulldogs led 20 to 6 at half time and went on to win comfortably 38 to 6.

    How do the lower grades work? You would think finishing 2nd would mean you couldn't be eliminated in the first week of finals.

    I think only the top 6 go on to the finals, so that's the cause...

    No it's a simple elimination process all the way through - 8 down to 4 down to 2. The whole season is very condensed - its only 9 rounds - so the kids can get back to their local clubs.

     

    We play Newcastle next. Other semi is Dogs vs Raiders
