Notes on the players:
Twindle has been the breakout player of the year for eels. He has speed, tackles well and play making ability. I can see him replacing Gutho in the future. He will be pushing for Jersely Flegg this year for sure.
Mattew Arthur literally tackles everything and has a running game. Honestly looks like he does have a future.
Ethan Sanders is ur typical halfback that controls your game. Is a left footer as well so would complement Moses/D Brown well in the future.
Talagi is a five-eight shifted to the centres. Let me tell u knows how to set up a winger. Hopefully a future centre for us.
Guymer is a workhorse. Looks a bit fat ngl.
Fualema and Tuivita are both big props who provided plenty of meters (PCM) and were hard to control.
R Penisini as well looks good at setting up his wingers.
Both the wingers had some costly errors. Eels were clearly missing their best winger in Cody Parry.
Blaze - really reminds me of Herbie Farnworth the way he moves with the ball. He could play fullback, centre, 5/8. Plus can whack in defence!! He is still 2 years away from first grade physically
Matt athur - I reckon this kid is good, got a great little kicking game, engages the markers, has a running game, tackles anything. You can tell his got some real leadership qualities out there and much like his brother just all hard work and effort
Ethan sanders - this guy isn't to far away off first grade in my opinion. Parra are going to have a struggle to keep him with Moses and brown locked away for next 5 years. typical orginsing half with a great kicking and running game. Plus kicks goals
richard penisini - likes the fast feet footwork, has a power game with good d. Sets his winger up nicely. I think he will debut mid next season.
twiddle, Spenser, 2 props and both wingers impressed even with a few errors. Dom in the back row is a machine with a big future
I agree with Blaze. I recon even next year he could be ready.
Agree everything about MA
Sanders will end the year in NSW Cup. Rankin should retire. Send JA to the tigers. Put Asi and Sanders in reserve grade together as the halves. But yes I am worried if we can keep him with Moses and DB locked in long term.
Penisini next year should be pushing for reserve grade.
