Don't hate, just posting news as i see it. Just an article from SEN about BA's future. Andrew Webster pretty much mentioning that the BA news of him to the Dogs was distracting, yet it is even crazier considering the club extended him til 2024 to avoid the distractions around him. Matty Johns contends that the squad is good enough, a new voice might be the way to go.

A massive tone shift where Matty is one to defend coaches and so is Webster, to saying him to move on is appropriate. It is this year if any where BA's job could legitamitely be gone.

    • Again Matty Johns is a coach defender, as is most of the media. All the media are now concluding it is better to move on, when you lose media support you are finished.

        • No on the side of the coaches, not us. Media defended BA in the past, those on shows did too. Only one who didn't was Ray Hadley.

In terms of Ciraldo, i do believe it will happen but not confirmed yet with Canterbury, just saying.

  • He has a great ability to get a side doing what he wants to do. But he is terrible at on the fly decision making, either mid week or during games. I dont know if its just me or not, but most Parra losses you know they are in for a long night from very early in the contest. And yeah some errors etc have something to do with that, but mostly its when you see the other team repel our early attack easily and then respond by dismantling our defence. I think the Sharks and Roosters games this year were the only time they lost in what was a good game. Every other loss they have embarrassed themselves with their complete lack of imagination.

This happens to a lot of teams, even the good ones, but the good ones are able to adapt mid game and strike at areas they maybe hadn't planned to, and in defence small tweeks are made to shore up shaky areas.

Parra have the skill and experience to do this, but are coached to 'trust the process' and keep running into the same brick walls like madmen. This chase the collision thing is bullshit, they should be chasing the space, using their speed and offload ability.

    • See Simon the weird thing is, the last say 5-6 matches, we've started the game on the oppositions own line. We spend like 2-3 sets there and hardly get any points. Seems that it is excecution, which would be frustrating for BA. Like as a teacher, having a student that is bright, answers questions well and does all their work well then come test time crash hard.

That's where i think a new voice will get thtat next step.

  • Those of us that spoke positively about BA taking us to a grandfinal are coming around, there has been a shift from those being positive and the shift is caused because the tactics, and the polish on the players is not good enough. It is good enough for a top 8 team, but its not good enough for a premiership. Last night exposed those tactics and gameplan for what they are, situations presented themselves after bending them back, winning the right, when in field position and we didnt play footy. We went straight back to BA's mantra, middle , bash, settle, middle, swing , kick, instead of probing the edges, moving the ball, moving the ruck around asking questions, scheming, setting up we just blindly turned it back inside for another middle run.

The boys last night stuck to BA's gameplan, it was obvious to all of us that have played in the halves, the boys defaulted to BA's game plan instead of playing eyes up footy, they committed last night to the plan and stuck to it. It wasnt good enough. When behind the mistakes happen, the heads go down, the effort by some decreases, the nobbling effect of harnessing our creative players has gone too far they are now scared to play eyes up footy after winning the right. And that right there is the main reason people are shifting their views. Top 8 BA is your man - Premiership Winner Nope 9 years now says so and we are still using basic tactics without the flair .

    • In the past we have knocked the players for going of script too early and not sticking to the game plan, then BA quotes "Play the way we want to" could be referring to the game plan, going off script as we couldn't play the way we want. We play to the script and it fails and BA doesn't have that line.

      • yep that sounds just about right, I think Moses, Dylan, Paulo, RCG would be superstars in other systems. I really do.

I think Gutho is a steady centre or winger  that can bring energy to the game and back up the breaks.

I think Penisini would be playing Reggies for another year

I think Waqa would go well in England

I think Simmonson would look okay in reggies.

I would find a sprint coach for Sivo.

I think our bench except for Nuikore wouldnt make any other team above us bench in the NRL.

  •  we're taking on water

  • It's obvious to everyone except a certain few that it's tiime for him to go..He just doesn't have any sort plan B for any situation whether that be during a game or during the season. He's no schemer.
