So I just heard at the end of Triple M's drive show, comments made by Semi at the Australian team selection.
Super encouraging.
1) He wants to play Rugby League for the rest of his life. This has always been our biggest threat, has been losing Semi to French or Japanese Rugby so this is massive.
2) He loves playing for Parra, wants to stay loyal to Parra.
I seriously thought we had an uphill battle on our hands keeping Semi beyond next year, but these are super encouraging comments.

You can't keep a semi for ever, I tried once, it starts to hurt.
lets get him signed on a long term contract as soon as the salary cap dramas are all over, start afresh with something positive
I'm pleased Semi wants to stay loyal to the Eels, whether or not he actually will down the track when the euphoria of his national selection has passed and the reality of the Eels plight sets in is another question. I know for a fact inquiries are being made elsewhere on his behalf.
