Semi

Caller to the big sports breakfast this morning claiming that Semi is refusing to return from Fiji due to pay issues from last season and Japanese rugby looms. Can anyone call BS on this?

  • BS
  • after hayne went to nfl the foran contract saga the hppa case nothing surprises me with this club.
  • I am willing to call BS on it, mate.

Semi is not holding out for more money. He is indeed still in Fiji but it is for a good reason and that is all that I can really say on the matter.

    • I'll back up what Forty has shared here. Nothing to do with money or contract.

    • Considering his father was very sick (when they did the footy show special) I'd assume it's for a pretty good reason (just logically thinking)
  • He broke records this year.
Leading try scorer of the competition.
Dally M winger of the year.
He is from a different country ffs.
Maybe, just maybe some or all of those reasons are why he was granted extra leave?
  • I said last season that if we don't seriously upgrade semi's contract very soon he'll be gone. He's our best outside backline player and probably in the top 5 outside backs in the comp and he is being paid fuck all really.
  • This club needs to be run better.
    • In what way tin tim?
I reckon the club NOW know what they are doing and it is being run rather well?
Maybe we should sign Loko again. An example of smart decisions being made at Parra.
Credit to the eels for getting Semi for 250k per season.
      Well done.

Maybe we should get Ozzy back Tim?
  • I'm calling it bs. Semi was granted leave on compassionate grounds, and should be back next week.
