What a great win we had tonight against the Dragons. Fantastic team effort, especially in defence. My only disappointment was that Alvaro was dropped to 18th man and just missed having a bench spot.
I kept an eye on Pauli Pauli and Choc, as I wanted to see if they were up for it (as they contributed to Alvaro being left out with the late re-shuffle). Both those guys did great, with Choc running good meters and both made many tackles.
So now I take a look at the rest of our forwards & bench rotation... Good on Seffa for making it back into the side. It's understandable, as he has so much 1st grade experience. Unfortunately the only thing I remember him doing in the game was throwing a late 'hospital' pass onto the chest of Wicks, as he charged at the Dragons defence, 10 meters or so from their line. It's memorable because Wicks was unable to catch it, as it bounced right off him. It was Déjà vu all over again...
Now perhaps there was some salary cap issue with bring Nelson in to the side, but I would love to see Alvaro get a chance to shine! BA sees something in the kid, so surely we can give him a go in place of someone like Seffa. Just let Alvaro play one game and drop him if he can't handle it.
Anyway, to summarize the blog - Seffa's highlight was that pass. I don't care if we have no one else, but jeez... let this Alvaro kid have a run for more than 10 minutes!

Also salary cap wise, I imagine Seffa is in top 25 and Alvaro isn't.
I hate Sef and will cheer the day the plodder won't be chewing up cap space but if Wicksy had of caught the pass he scores.
Thank fark Mau is back next week.
alvaro ifor more space s a porop and we dont have shit so maybe parra went to the nrl and got some more space in the 2 tier
how good was nelson though
Go back and have a look at it if you have it on tape.
The play before the play sweeps from left to right. Seffa goes to tackle a saints player and misses.
That's ok. He wasn't the only player to miss a tackle.
The big problem was that he just lays there !!!!!!! Instead of getting up and jumping back into the line.
Now this wasn't a tackle where there was contact, he just stretched out and missed the player.
What happened - the saints saw that the eels were short where seffa was supposed to be and
Placed the kick there.
This put semi 2 on 1 and nearly ended our night.
Of course when it went to Aiken and seffa saw that no one was interested in him he got up ......
