Season is done if we go 0-5.

Given that year is looking to be one of the closest and more competitive years, you will likely need 34 points to secure a spot in the 8.

if we go 0-5 we will need to win 17 of the remaining 20 games to make the 8

im excluding two rounds because every team gets two byes

  • Season is already done, when we couldn't win first 2 games at home.

With the tough draw that follows..

  • 34 points?

    • It's a crackpot theory.

  • There's no way known it will take 34 points to make top 8. I'm going to guess 28 points this year gets you in 8. But having said that if we lose first 5 games it's going to be tough. I think teams have lost first 4 then gone on to achieve success not sure about first 5

    • I think the comp has levelled out a fair bit this year with the extra team in the comp. I think 8th could have the lowest amount of points ever

      • That's what I thought too. Not sure how a more even comp equals more points to make the 8. Someone failed maths apparently.

        • Yeah simple maths tells you that if the comp is more even, that means more wins are going to the teams outside of the top 8. If more wins are going to teams outside the top 8, that means less wins for the teams inside the top 8, which means a lower entry point. The problem it does raise though is that you are competing with more teams for that eighth spot.

      • Logically, that is how it has to work. The more even the comp, the lower the points to make the top 8.

  • Season already done.. stop spending money and watching them play.. they don't deserve the fans

    • See ya!!
