  • I personally think we would have been better going to NZ and spending some time with and watching the All Blacks train, i recon this trip to seatlle is a bit of a joke, its great the players are having a good break and bonding, but that could happen anywhere, and i dont think its very good timing either after Hayne goes to NFL, we go to seatle to visit the seahawks, maybe im missing something.

    • All Blacks are touring in the UK at the moment. Not sure if chasing them around Europe would be a better option.

    • Can see snakes point. All blacks as an organisation have a win at any cost ,discipline and a no excuses culture. It is also a similar game.
One main difference is that not every kid in Australia wants to be an eel- every single male and 80% of females wants to be all blacks from birth.
    • It's about using the facilities rather than watching the team train. I doubt the All Blacks have too much greater facilities than us.

    • Did you read my comments a week ago snake lol? said exactly the same....cheaper flights too

    • Sorry snake but how can you find a negative about this? As Ham mentioned it is more about watching a team train and bonding. The club is also looking at management, facilities, training techniques, etc. The club as a whole will gain experience not just players, coaches, management etc.
  • Promotion people = PROMOTION.

International RL want a presence in the States and the Eels are the most media saleable team in the world.

The other idea is to see how REAL professional footballers go about their business.

Not that many of you would have noticed, but AFL did go up a gear (across all teams) after they began adopting some of the NFL training and recovery methods a few years ago.

    • I'd hate to think what AFL was like BEFORE they went up a gear.

    • Why are we the most saleable Col?? I would think the Bunnies who are premiers, have an owner USA know in movie star Russell crowe would be much more marketable as they were when Tom Cruise watched them etc....is this your love for the team speaking or am I missing something lol ( apart from JH who we don't speak of anymore) :-))

  • It was very much worth missing IH8

"Pezet had 3 runs, 5 kicks, 2 errors, and 3 try assists. Let's be frank, two of his try assists were fluke kick/regather efforts by others and his try a fluke kick/regather by himself. Ryles played possum about what he has to work on in the press…"
