  He is a solid first grader that can cover a few spots, would of been handy here.  But no doubt he will magically go to the Bronco's and be happy to be on less then he was at the Titans.

  The Broncos have lost at least 4 from their top 25 for next year, with Parker retiring Wallace going to Titans, Maranta gone to Qld Rugby, and Jack Reed also retiring due to injury, I guess Mead makes a good replacement and will shine in that backline

  Brisbane have snared a bargain. The club’s newest recruit, David Mead, has cost them less than $150,000 for 2017. It’s a saving of more than half of what Mead was earning at the Titans with his deal in 2016 believed to be worth around $330,000 a season. By agreeing to just a one-year contract, it has kept the door ajar for the 27-year-old to pursue lucrative options in rugby overseas.

  The Brisbane Broncos have locked up three young guns that have announced their presence in the NRL this season.

  Tom Opacic, Jaydn Su’A and Jonus Pearson have all re-committed to the club after signing new deals, just a day after international Matt Gillett announced his new four-year contract.
