  • He's run our football operations. That's a massive role in itself and I very much believe that part of our wooden spoon results came down to two coaches who tried to take on too much. Head coach of the NRL side is enough to worry about, without having to deal with the grind of salary cap management issues, junior development pathways, etc. You would have read in Scott Seward's comments that he makes the point that it's Brad team and Brad makes the NRL decisions.

    • It's hard to focus on details and the little things when you take on too much (regarding previous coaches).

  • BA has a lot on his plate. A dysfunctinal board, as well as DA looking over his shoulder. He cant perform with having that sort of pressure from within. I havnt seen any achievements from DA since his appointment. Every achievement has been made by the CEO, and thats his job. Im not sure what DA's job is, and I guess no one else does either.

    • Our board is not dysfunctional. 7 directors are all on the same page.
    • The only dysfunction is from those who aren't on the board that want to be on the board. And who cares about them?
  • ^ what they said.
  • Why are you looking for excuses for Brad Arthur, I know he seems like a nice guy and all but do really think anyone worth their salt would be impacted by another coach at the club. I doubt he is, but if yes he should quit now.

"Great points as usual NOS. When you lose by 48 points that is on you. But also, the issues from the refs made us fatigue and weakened us. The Iongi HIA weakened us as it forced Ryles to put Joash on when in hindsight he didn't really need to, but we…"
