It is a new form of rejection when it is done by your own little brother.
I get the idea behind it, more bums on seats = more revenue thru catering, merchandise. Pumps of the crowd figures which looks good on the annual report - but we are missing out on a HEAP of revenue that, lets face it, the club needs!!
I have seen free tickets given away to the last 3 home games. We aint Cronulla!! Its all good celebrating how great out crowds are this year - but how many of the seats are being taken by freebies??
I'd must rather see a promotion where its Buy 1 Get 1 Free, or Adult Tickets at Kids prices, so the club is looking after itself financially.
Eg. Buy a Value Meal at Hungry Jacks to receive a Free GA ticket with any paying adult or Buy a coffe from Gloria Jeans and receive tickets to Eels home games at Kids rates!
