Just want to give a shout out to Pryke. First start of his career. 53 minutes. 103m. 31 tackles with 2 missed.
I always thought he was a solid player but didn't think he had it to be regular nrl player. I think I was wrong about him. Ive seen him from the early days and he just always seems to find an extra gear when he goes up the grades. I have no idea if he is in our future plans but I would be happy to see him re-signed.

Credit where credit is due.
Had more energy and grunt than JDB so hopefully he can work towards a contract with the club???
Pryke has been impressive with every opportunity he has had.
Next year our prop rotation will be 8. Leniu (assuming he signs) 10. Sam T 15. Junior 16. Teancum amd Doorey/Moretti being next in line with Williams staying on the edge.
Hopgood is best suited to starting 13 if he can get his confidence back to where he forced his way into the QLD team. Pryke, Riley and Edwards will battle it out for the replacement lock position
Pryke - great work rate in defence and has shown good signs throwing a short ball aswell as digging into the line and distributing out the back
Riley - fan favourite, all effort. Covers 6/9/13. With JR preferring Talyn at 9 could we see Riley take on the 14 and convert to the ball playing lock eg cam mciness
Edwards - i see Edwards as a younger JDB. Throw him out there for 25 and let him tackle everything. Can also cover 9. Handy player to have in the squad but cannot see him in the top 17
The trouble with Hopgood is that he has too many errors in him to be playing lock. If he starts the first 15min the swaps out for Prike, that may work, but he needs to keep it simple. I like the idea of Smith playing that last 20min at lock, working with TDS. Lots for Ryles to think about.
Pryke is the sort of player you need in the team. He may not be the most naturally gifted player, but he makes up for it with heart. That's infectious through the whole team, and is exacly what we need in the middle.
Easy answer is Paulo as a ball playing lock
Big minutes and looks very fit should be starting at lock for the rest of the season you have to give guys time in the top grade to see if they cut it he is
He is what the club bought De Belin for. Be that worker in the middle and soften the starting middles for the first rotation. Though he is better with attack and can ball play slightly.
Should you go into 2027 him as your starting Lock? No, but he has shown to be a reliable player to have as depth and has earned an extension. He could turn into a full-time starter but right now he is doing his job and next year will be depth.
Liking him more every single week.
Wasted half a year of his development with buying JDB.
This club does some dumb shit...
Didn't waste his time he got better with the cup games where he started at lock. Last week he was gassed in the first 30, got a second wind and came back strong. If he was starting lock from round 1 everyone on this site would be calling for him to get dropped, not up to it for first grade. JR knows how important playing cup is for development. All these kids coming through have a good foundation. We need players like JDB to teach, learn from and help promote. We might not be able to recruit but fuck me does JR know to develop. Majority of our squad wouldn't make a first grade team, but he has them in the mix more often than not.
Well their is another view!
