Part 1 of all the times I've spoken of him/about him in other threads.
Scott Schulte is a tremendous, young player.
Can cover wing, centre and back-row. Played almost exclusively in the back-line for the Cowboys this year. Was in the top 3 for tries scored for the team. Finished 2nd or 3rd if I recall correctly.
Tall, rangy player. Good footy brain, good footy smarts and has a great awareness and passion for the game. Good head on his shoulders, a great attitude towards footy and most importantly, a tremendous work-ethic.
Quality addition to our side and I'd have him as a smokey for a wing spot next year.
I rate Schulte and he does have work to do to refine his game further but with a good pre-season and a solid Nines tournament, he'll certainly come right into consideration for the vacant wing spot.
The above in mind, I'm on record numerous times saying that I'd start Schulte in the vacant wing spot.
I just don't think any other option we have as a winger has the same all-round player know-how and game-sense that Schulte does.
Gee Ricky, a big wrap. U sound very definite in your assessment. If he has the footy smarts & ability as u have indicated, lets hope that BA gives him a chance in 2016 to show his wares. The way things r shaping up, looks like Gutherson, Schulte & Moss may be astute recruitment decisions.
One of the big reasons behind Schulte's success at the Cowboys was his ability to win the ball in the air in both attack and defence. Cooper Bambling & Ty Carucci would deliver pinpoint kicks for him - even wayward kicks at times - and Schulte's aerial ability would see him catch them and score, or catch them and pass to a team-mate in mid-air. It's an asset of his and that aerial ability that we need on the wing would be missing if we were to play him at centre.
And just on Schulte, he's a remarkable young player.
Ricky, do you think we have got the halves that can deliver the kicking game you speak of? Can't say I rate Norman's kicking game. I can't say I've seen much of Foran's kicking game given that was always DCE's job.
I thought Norman had a steady flow of solid cross-field kicks when required, and Foran much the same. Foran's short-kicking game and inside the attacking 10 are solid, so they can definitely aim for our wingers with aerial ability.
"The more likely outcome is they will not fuck with us anytime soon. We showed we're not going to be pushed around and we have enough dirt on them to bring the comp to its knees. "
"Gawd please drop the matterson dumping talk to Melb Parra! Why let this talk sully our win. The continued talks to persue dumping Matto vibe, detracts from our great outcome. Just wear the 400k loss please. It's to melbs advantage only to keep it…"

If he's picked, he won't let anyone down.
I can't speak highly enough about him.
I'm good, thanks.
I call it like I see it.
and never stop. Informed opinion is of a premium here.
Cheers, PM.
Will do.

I believe they can.
