Sandow & Peats

Driving to work this morning listening to Big Sports Brekky and listening to all the Rabbits 'vocal bling', got me thinking about our previous Rabbitohs - Peats and Sandow.

No doubt they would have been cheering and would have had at least a small amount of jealousy and feelings of.....what if?

I believe this will or at least SHOULD be massive motivation for both of these guys come 2015 and both will have a big year.

If so, our spine of Sandow and Peats will be on fire. Hayne no doubt will be as well, the current Dally M player of the year so it may come down to Norman who I believe will be much better after settling into Sydney and a new team.

I believe the Rabbitohs winning this year may have at least a slight ripple effect on these guys and hopefully a massive effect?

Thoughts?

  • I dont know  about sandow but Peats would be piss of but he still had one more year to go on hes contract with south but he came to us

    • Well pointed out Paul, I forgot about that. He would have very likely got a gig in the GF.

      Watch him shine next year.

  • Why would Peats be pissed off for? Who is not to say that he would have not been injured playing for the Bears? At least - at the Eels he played first grade, is part of the leadership group and is being guided by Brad Arthur.
    • Yeah mate he may have even been sidelined with injury but what I am pointing out is that these two blokes must have a bit of fire in the belly watching that GF.

There is also a big chance Peats may have been in it.

  • he would of been there somewhere he a had a good year we were lucky it was for us

  • If I was BA I'll be focusing on Norman and telling him to take the line on more often.
He really needs to get out of that comfort zone and take some risks.
Sandow playing for a contract I can see him taking some Dally M points off hayne.
Peats well be a stand out and nsw origin player in 2015.
  • It will get Peats hungrier for a title.
I doubt they would be jealous.
Peats was such a small part of that side. He wants to be 80minute hooker and a fresh start and he's got that with us.
  • i truly believe Peats was our biggest loss this year to the point that if he was there Parra would've been playing September footy.

If Peats, Mau and Hayne remain fit and everyone else on the filed does there job we will be a top 4 side next year. They will need to work hard on there defence in the off season as a squad but i think we are in for a big season next year.

Plus the likes of Norman, Hoppa, Tepai, Junior Paulo, Pauli Pauli will be better for the experience as well as another off season under BA.

    • A massive loss, particularly in the form he was in.

      Weren't we 6/8 or similar?

Looking forward to seeing how well we go with Peats in our team all next year...hopefully!

  • I think peats will be the one thing king what if more than Sandow. Luke injured peats would've got the nod over api

And so I don't want to lose him, as believe me he's getting noticed by everyone looking for young talent.
