Sandor Earl returns to the NRL

Perhaps missed in the Cooper Cronk saga was Melbourne Storm recruiting Sandor Earl.

The former Raider, Panther and Rooster signed on for the 2018 season after serving four years for using and trafficking banned peptides.

He did speak to Parramatta but opted to stay in Melbourne, where he has been for the past 15 months.

Would you have taken him at Parramatta? He's said himself he's a lot stronger and faster than when he was playing in the NRL and Brad Arthur has made a bit of a habit of giving someone a second shot and them repaying the faith a la Manu Ma'u and Danny Wicks.

If you're interested in hearing more about Sandor's story, I interviewed him for my newly launched podcast and his episode is available. All episodes are free and available for Android and iPhone. https://brainandpowerpodcast.com/2017/10/30/episode-four-return-from-the-wilderness/

  • Don’t think he would have signed anywhere else but the Storm.
  • Well Parramatta have an open winger spot whereas Melbourne have Vunivalu and Addo-Carr

  • Dunno , he could've made a bit of extra coin at Cronulla
  • Will be interesting to see if he can inject himself into the game after such a long time out .
