Salford are keen to dispense with the services of New Zealand international full-back Kevin Locke.
The 26-year-old has failed to live up to expectations since he moved to Super League last summer and Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash has issued some stern public criticism of the player.
Locke lost the full-back spot at Salford to home-grown product Niall Evalds and is currently sidelined following knee surgery.
He is under contract with the Red Devils until the end of 2017 but looks unlikely to see it out as Koukash abandons his policy of big-name recruitment.

From his days at the warriors, I think he could be a handy pick up, and from the sounds of things could come cheap.

Maybe that is why Sharp is on holiday
Also it's harder to poach NZ players/juniors as they would be leaving their friends and family. Whereas in sydney, friends and family are only a short drive away, meaning the only difference between choosing teams is personal preference (team you grew up following, etc) and money.
But in saying that, the opportunity to play first grade is something most take with open arms and for some players money talks.
If we can find out what the issue is in the UK, then he could be a great signing
He can't hold down a spot in the ESL so we want him? No thanks, pass.
Youtube his highlights and think again. He's probably homesick and just not playing well because of it
