  • Melbourne only exist due to breaching the salary cap. They are broke and will not exist in 10 years time.
  • God i hope you're right GOlling !!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • he said it on tv inteview last night
  • Gawd this is pathetic IMO all clubs rort the salary cap including the eels, the NRL turn a blind eye to it especially the Storm where they have been trying to build support for years to overcome AFL , how convenient how the NRl has its own Auditor in Ian Schubert to investigate these findings then handout fines the only reason they do this is to "assure fans of other clubs that they are all on a level playing field and are all abiding by the Salary Cap rules!!!

Melbourne maybe found guilty but like the Broncos who had been found guilty also a few years back the amount of money the Storm have made just in Fan base and code interest alone is priceless compared to the fines that will be handed out!!

If you think the NRL Police the Salary cap with an Iron fist you believe in Santa Clause
  • the possible breach the NRL are talking about IS for 2009. as far as i am aware there are no issues with the 2010 cap for melbourne
  • here here...
  • Don't forget about the dogs loosing all of their points 10 years or so ago
  • As stated its my opinion I read somewhere Smiths Fox Sports contract was $45k per year now come on the guys is a fulltime football player or thats what they call themselves but for the Australian Captain to be sponsored by a third party to the tune of 45k per year to do really frig all for Fox Sports izs highly questionable!!!!

My opinion is based on pure obsevation between all codes and the way the NRL has handled breaches before and ok and I understand that we are already losiing NRL players to the UK BUT .....why would the NRl jeapordise the existence of a game that creates so much revenue without slightly bending the negotiation regs and rules for certain players and or teams, but in the same breath they have to play Devils advocate .... to give all fans and supporters that sense of security and knowledge that everyone is on a level playing field!
