SAD TO SEE

All the things said 50% completion rate in the second half and poor ball control.we could not win it, change that equation and send the guys to the beach to catch high balls and we are competitive against them in a GF, if we get there.

We went with them for 50 minutes, depends on what we have learnt.....that challenge said we were not mentally capable of making a mistake and coming back from it. Junior needs to go back learning to concentrate and focus as it happens, Sivo and Waqar likewise.....strange but Nathan Brown has the experience but we needed him to be 18th man in case 4 players got HIA's and Jake got sick.

The sadist thing was when Jake came on and kicked out in the full he was nearly in tears. It is absolutely disgusting that BA put his son in that position.....he had no right being in the team and the damage that has been done to the kid is incalcuble. BA's judgement and his own legacy has been ruined by this whole episode of no patience and not letting his son come through the grades like any other young footballer.

The fact that he is blind to it means his judgement is not good enough to continue.

I thought Moses owned Kikau until he knocked himself out and again the question needs to be asked if we had an extra forward on the bench was it necessary for him doing so much defence, admittingly it was a technique issue that caused his problem.....when the opposition only missed 5 tackles its pretty hard for the halves to do much damage but our two experts there Wiz and Fong  still blame the halves. Don't think Fong played too much but Wiz should know better than just sarcasm,

How do you think Cleary would have gone behind our pack and how do you think Moses and Brown would have gone behind there's ?

Finally Penrith played exactly like you would expect them too.....how prepared were we for that as a surprise.

  • i think we see this thing much the same way Pops I posted something similar in another blog. I suspect many others feel the same way

  • I agree mate.

If we do just two things.

    1. Pressure the kickers more - Cleary had too much time.

    2. Eliminate the dumb errors.

Had we had better completions tonight the game goes the distance.

JA didn't cost us possession and errors did. But in saying this, no way we go with the same 17 next week. It'll be suicide.

BA needs to pick our best 17, enough of JA and Makatoa.

  • We had ample opportunity in the first half but lacked the creativity in the red zone. But it all came off straight hard running by the forwards.

Second half just poor execution and forgot to do the basics.

Sivo's work rate and Waqa's compared to To'o is very telling.

  • Well said Pops agree 100% with your thoughts. We can turn it around as long as Mitch is ok. We were in that game we just hit the panic button too early and then Mitch went down

  • Finally we agree on something, BA has put his son in a terrible position through very poor judgement, the poor kid will end up with PTSD, im not joking either, he will probably be dreaming about this shit forever.

Its been a shocking option to have pushed him through like this the last few years and idiots like Joey make it worse by talking him up unfairly.

Thew whole things bloody ugly and its on BAs shoulders, but he's too pig headed and awash with nepotism to ever see it.

In BAs head, JA is the next clive churchill medalist.

  • A positive I see in this game is that we played poorly and lost.
i would be more concerned if we played well and lost.

    • Surely playing poorly in a finals game, against a team weve beaten twice, is not a positive Greg?

      • No not really but I would be more concerned if we played well and lost.
in this situation we lost because we played poorly, not because the other team played outstanding. If we played tonight like last week, we win.

  • Yes Pops, BA is putting JA in a terrible position, he expects far too much from his son and the pressure on the lad is not right.
It reminds me of kevin in the movie with Steve Martin, parenthood, the kid is stressed and will blame his dad.

  • GF poppas yeah nah.  What makes you think we'll get past Melbourne? Cmon mate ba is just a flawed coach who has never beaten a half decent team in any final & his constant favoritism of his son is a stackable offense
