Sacrificing my fandom for you all - like Jesus

I’ve been an eels fan since 1980. But I’m done. I live in the US now anyway and getting up at 2.30am each week to watch Arthur’s clowns made sticking by the club tough. I’ve tried quitting many times over these hopeless years but I always figured that the day I quit being an eels fan would be when they turned it all around.And so I lay down my fandom... for you all.I don’t want thanks. I don’t want tears. Just please enjoy the 2019 GF victory knowing that i gave up my fandom for you all, selflessly. Man knows no greater love, in a way, than giving up ones fandom for a club so that his fellow fans may enjoy victory. God knows the club will never find a path to victory on its own, so desperate measures must be taken.Just so you all know my tipping point, it’s Jennings over Hayne.Please don’t make this any more painful than it is. Farewell everyone. Fuck these years of wasted support and fuck Brad Arthur.Farewell everyone. I’m really going now. Forever.Bye

I’m not far from doing the same wazza. I also believe that as soon as I cease supporting this inept piece of crap of a club, they will take out a title. One can only be patient for so long and the spew that this club has thrown up on and off the field was embarrassing twenty years ago and plenty has gone on since and to this day.

Its a shame you are leaving mate. You will always go down as the member who posted the most hilarious comment ever on here:
