This was shown about 15mins ago that Ryles met with Holmes in Townsville. Now source is not the greatest but if it is true could it be a swap for RCG? As NQ cannot get RCG unless they release Holmes.
Even then what a weird target, he is best on the wing but for the price tag he would command?

Too be fair, who hasn't been woeful in defence at NQ? Plus, statistics wise, this has been his best year in defence in his career.

Saints still are, it is all on Holmes last i heard. He doesn't want to leave. He has one year left at $825k. NQ want RCG, we said we are not pitching in any of his $750k owing, NQ are fine with that but need to get rid of Holmes to have coin. So do we pay Holmes his $825k this year but less after that? He could get roughly the same at Saints who are more desperate. Had we not signed Lomax, i reckon we pay Holmes the same amount.
Holmes isn't worth anything over $600k unless he owns the fullback position.
i agree. Purely based on position value. At his age, i would not be going down the path of Fullback as he is only a year younger than Gutho.
Didn't we just sign simmo till 2027? Surely we are not going to pay 900k ?
Val Holmes has upside but he does have a mistake in him.
