Paul Kent reported, i know grain of salt, that Ryles is looking at adding Shane Flanagan to the coaching staff for 2027. Now i believe it would be to replace Brown of course as the senior figure. But what would be even more interesting is Flanagan is more of a defensive coach, Brown worked with the spine and attack. So i wonder if Moa is going as well? Or Flanno can do both well.
I know many here will say no, looking at one of two reasons. No.1 the peptite scandal and no.2 his job with the Dragons. To me, that is irrelevant as he is an assistant. His influence is limited compared to when he was at Cronulla and St. George Illawarra. His job at Saints ended miserably, though i still think he has something to offer. Great hire? I wouldn't say that just yet but i could think of worse. Now how will he go with players as i know for a fact that one Dragons player, when he was an assistant there in 2020 could not stand him, with a passion.
It is Paul Kent though, who has more hits than Rick Astley. So let's wait and see what eventuates.

I think you are putting too much into what his actual role would be. He would be an assistant. Ryles style still rubs off on the time first and foremost.
His a shit coach and his imput would send us backwards. He was our Alan bond. We don't need Alan nowhere near the building. 😅😅
Is he though? I understand the whole peptide thing but he still won a comp. Yeah Maloney knocked him, but Gallen and Graham swear by him. Two are former captains, the other is a rogue who does his own thing and seems to mistrust authority.
I felt he didn't go a good job with Saints but he didn't do awful with what he had to start with. Plus again, assistants help, but you are putting in too much focus on how much impact an assistant has. Ryles is still the main voice.
