Ryles, have we seen enough to declare he can coach?

Do you think you have seen enough to declare Ryles is going to be s good coach?, it's a resounding yes from me. I declared early on that he will be the coach to end out premiership drought and that feeling has only been reinforced as the season has progressed.  It's a bold statement but I'm sticking to it.

  • Based on his roster management the last 12 months whilst adding to that his ability to man manage well and improve the teams / players performances, it's a yes from me.

  • Ryles can coach. The positives and performances are there. Most players have improved this year under his guidance. The quality of players he has brought in has paid off.
Can see the type of player he wants.
I know Ryles went after Hiroti from sharks but we missed out unfortunately, he resigned.
2026 will be a great season

  • Yes absolutely and with some quality signings especially in the forwards, we can compete with all teams next season!

  • There's some nuance in his coaching. BA'S coaching was simple. 1 game plan, all the time.

Probably the most refreshing thing of all is the team knows how to slide in defence. BA's 'defence' was a dog's breakfast.

  • Was anyone tonight thinking why did we sign Taylln De Silva? Complaining stuck behind Api and not going to change much at Parra. Rhyley is the better hooker.

    • I think there's room for both;but in terms of development Riley is ahead no doubt and is the main man in that position - Da Silva will get better and better

    • Not sold on Da Silva, so far looking like a " gotta sign somebody move". Hope I'm wrong and he improves,  but for the "alleged $650k" salary, he would need to

      • Nah Ryles has wanted a Hooker for some time even way back in pre-season. Seems Da Silva was available, Ryles was keen and we got him.

Let him do a pre-season then we can judge fully.

  • Anyone watching St Helens v Hull? 4th v 1 St must say the ref to bunker do a great job officiating and don't get too involved in the game - that clown last night could have cost us the game.

    • Which adds to the Warriors fans complaining about nothing with the Vaimauga touch. They had ample opportunities to win.

"Statistically, the heavily favorited Warriors owned the contest. Foxsport shows they had 55% possession, 70% territory, and a massive 27-4 advantage in red-zone tackles. They won penalties and restarts 12-5, made more line breaks (5-4), and missed…"

"What a horror show, reminicent of the Timmy Mannah era with continual one out hitups....until we dropped the ball.
No plan B with us and looks like as the 3rd team we play 2nd places Saints in the semi's next week.
Pathetic, bereft of ideas."
