Just watching him play for the Roosters made me think in hindsight, with the whole Foran drama and Norman being suspended, it would have been nice to have him play in the halves for us.
Of course i dont blame BA for letting go of Matterson as we thought we had a gem with Foran, but i reckon he could have shown his worth with all that had happened.
But i suppose BA didnt see enough in him to find a spot on our roster....

I wouldn't mind putting a feeler out for this guy.
Better option than some of the others mentioned elsewhere.
Do we really need a whole new Matterson blog every time the guy plays for the Roosters.
He's an average player and that's that. He left us because he had a shit attitude to training and his work-rate and BA doesn't tolerate that crap.
He could be a cheap pick up for next year and can play several positions - halves, middle & edge forward. With the Roosters signing Luke Keary they will have potentially 5 top 25 halves - Mitchell Pearce, Luke Keary, Connor Watson, Ryan Matterson and Jackson Hastings. Obviously they cannot keep all of these guys on top 25 money and both Matterson and Hastings could be on the outer.
