  • İHe would of cost a lot more then Ferguson and so I say us only because with the money they payed for him we would of played that for paulo

  • Plenty of experienced SL players haven't been able to cut it in the NRL. Of course, one of the key factors is whether they sign with us or not.

SL hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Eels recruitment over the years...

  • a 30 year old winger from England? No thanks!
  • Hall is good but Past it a little
  • There are 4 big clubs in the SL who win everything (Leeds, Hull, Wigan, St Helens), then there is a big gap to the rest. Hall played for one of those big 4. Hard to tell how much influence he has as a winger, and if he woukd have influenced similar success if he joined one of the smaller clubs
  • There appear to be two archetypes of the modern winger. One who acts as an extra forward coming out of your own end zone and otherwise practices to be a gymnast performing acrobatic put downs in the corner after short runs in the opposition end zone. That’s Ryan. The other is the elusive runner who is expected to bob up everywhere and be a utility if needed, and is often an attacking threat from your own 40 and/or an aerial threat at the other end; the one terrorizing Ryan by flying over him or out-pacing him. That’s Fergo. Hopefully BA going after Fergo is an indication that BA knows he needs to beef up our attack and that Ferguson has shown this year he can be both archetypes at once (he did not make Origin only because of past behavior not form).
  • Hall 2 or 3 years ago - certainly. Hall now, maybe a year contract or so but he’s slowed down a bit. Still built like a Sherman Tank though and get him one on one on the line and it’s try time
  • Great winger in England = Average Winger in NRL

  • Ferguson will be about the best thing to happen to Eels for years. He doesn't need players around him to create attack. He is extremely strong and fast and I would not be whinging. Perhaps Hall is a short term fix who knows. I am very surprised they let Ferguson go as he is a valuable player.
  • Pretty sure we got the better deal, better luck with ur next awe inspiring blog Pubic Wig

"Wizzy, like you, Blocker Roach neither buys it nor makes any sense of it. Each to their own, suppose. I agree with Cronk, though would've preferred Pezet longer-term."

"He signed with the Broncos first mate. But he couldn't start until Reynolds left (2027) so we picked him up for 2026. Otherwise he would have to stay in Melbourne. Everyone wins, except the Storm."
