Thats a big blow.
I wish we had a succession plan in place to replace the bit of furniture in the coaches box
Good point, there is no succession plan just all in with BA which will end in tears
No obvious succession plan I thought Carr was a the heir to the throne
Trent Barrett is the plan, he's 'taking full reigns over our attack'' and when BA goes in a few years, our board and CEO will be so charmed by Trents looks and smile, and brilliant knowledge that they will give him the gig.
As they are putting their little dried cashews into their mrs, they will be shutting those eyes and pretending its Trent, they are already doing that, obviously..
Ryan experience tells me he definitely has ambitions to coach first grade, the appointments of Nathan and Trent as assistants don't have aspirations to coach first grade to me that's an issue
Carr moved into a backroom role with the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. In 2018, Carr was hired coach of Mounties in NSW cup, who were a feeder club to the Canberra Raiders. In his first season, Carr guided Mounties to the top 8, being knocked out in week two by Newtown.
In 2019, Carr was hired to coach the Featherstone Rovers in the Championship in England. Carr had a successful season with Featherstone, guiding them 5th place and making the semi's. Featherstone won three straight semi finals in a row, guiding them to a final promotion play-off with the Toronto Wolfpack, ultimately losing.
In 2020, Carr returned to Australia, hired as an assistant and NSW Cup coach with the Parramatta Eels.
He might think he could get the Dragons job post Griffin. Begs the question who will be the other assistant and will BA have 2 or 3 assistants.
I don't think it made sense having Carr under Barrett as Barrett is able to do things himself but thought Carr would be a nice side kick to TBaz.
Hopefully Madge or O'Brien if sacked is our next assistant.
He might be just getting experience outside of Parramatta. Remember BA did the same thing but always wanted to coach Parra.
I doubt that anyone will say this is a lose and in lies the problem.
We have no one currently at our club that would be a replacement for BA if he left/was let go
Who's fault is that
BA?
The board ?
Both?
Lol, whats funnier than this is that Trents coming in, the guy who had full reign over the dogs attack, and they struggled to score 1 try a week, they were absolutely disgraceful, so were his selections.
But wait, it gets funnier, Cayless is being bought back to coach and fuck the juniors just like he did before he left, this guys a fucking joke.
Really looking up
BA knows that his job is safe with these two coming in. That's all that counts with Brad dollars for the fam
