Run Waga Run

I have been very impressed with Waga since coming over mid-season. The way he runs with his long strides, reminds of a 400 meter runner . He just glides across the turf.

That in and out he put on one of the Manly boys last week was something special.

Why did Penrith ever let him go? couldn't be attitude because he hasn't done anything so far to suggest that.

  • 100% ! Said the exact same thing yesterday about his run style canter! Fergi as well.

    waqa game yesterday was superb.

Considering the mid year transfer as well he just so at home from the time he got here. Think he loves us as much as we do him :)

  • He's yet another big, fast body in the backline.

Someone on the tele (maybe A Johns) said he's at his best when he gets the ball with a bit of space between him and the defender(s) and I agree, his speed and strength means he can take it to the line and get at least partially thru it before looking outside (or inside) . . or he can just go around a lazy defender and accelerate away like he did against Manly.

Penrith let him, DWZ and Sivo go - three of their new club's best signings for the year - - - - that's gold :)

  • I’d say Penrith must have had some serious cap issues. They honestly can’t have wanted to lose a player of his quality. I’d say it even prevented them from promoting Sivo to the top squad this year also costing them him.  Gus Gould did a couple of goods things for the club no doubt, but he isn’t the all knowing doyen he thinks he is and like all the older guys he’s out of touch with the onfield stuff a bit.

    • Only thing that makes sense is they have serious cap issues. And who’s fault is that if not Gould’s? Getting out in the Nic of time?

  • He made Dylan Walker look like he was standing in concrete that day!

I knew he was fast and a great player (cannot believe Pathers let him go), but his defence has been the most impressive thing since joining to me. He's closed down so many attacking plays and belted a few players along the way!

The way he shut-down Milford yesterday was brilliant! Let's hope he does the same to Munster this week.

    • My thoughts about his defence exactly. His hits stick or cause a player to slow down more often than not.

  • He is a very good buy, especially mid season. As a running centre he is right up there. He will hopefully develop his setting up / ball playing skills and set Fergo up a touch more. His close but not yet polished lol "now im being greedy" hahahaha

    Go Parra

  • enthusiasm with everything he does .

high effort and involvement . Does the tough carries and has speed to burn . Super signing .
