Rumour Mill - GI to Broncos

Sorry if already posted but latest rumour doing the rounds is GI to Broncos in 2017, already signed contract, and maybe 2016 if Souffs let him go. Not sure who Broncos will release to accommodate him.

Also smokie for 2016, Souffs will not make the 8. As already reported there is a player revolt against McGuire's coaching regime. There was some fire behind Reynolds wanting a release and McGuire's tough love approach to coaching is upsetting some of the players along with Walker and McQueen's departure. Obviously Sam Burgess doesn't mind the tough coaching style but some of the other poor dears want the money without the effort. Time those whingeing went into the real world and worked 60 hours a week for $80k!

These rumours are not new and no one knows whether there is any truth in them. Next season could go either way for Souths. The rumours will get louder if they start to struggle.

  Correct, they aren't new. They started surfacing way before the half way point of the 2015 season. Reports centre around a ridiculous hard line with training that is non stop and that had the players burnt out shortly after the season commenced. Other teams knew it. Look at the Rabbitohs performances, given they were convincing premiers in 2014. You could see that their energy levels were way down on the previous year.

That's a big stretch to say that their dip in form was due to burn out. They were the premiers, and I'd say they lost the desire to compete as much as other teams. They lost their intensity. It happens every year as the premiers lose their hunger to dig deep and fight. It will happen to the Cowboys this year.

  That Rabs could really struggle this year - yes they have Surgess back - but they've lost McQueen (who I rate very highly), Luke and Walker. Could be a long year for them.

    The one big thing I noticed with them in 15 compared to when the won the premiership is the lack of the same team spirit in the way they surrounded a try scorer with gee ups, also when there was a big defence play, with the attacker being put out or a knock on.
    
    In 15 there was hardly a sign of it by the 2nd half of the year. Certainly they lacked enthusiasm of the past.

This rumour probably has some substance. Inglis is on the slippery slide and it makes sense to go to another club for his pension. Might be copying Watmough.
