  • Hard to argue with that Slip.
Watmough has been pretty shit this year. Only the true believers could argue against.
    • What about his effect on the young Parra forwards? Has to count for something. But yes, based on his own form - ordinary. He plays 300 games on Monday.
  • What about his effect on the young forwards?
What are you telling me our position on the table, our defence and for/against would be even worse?
    Relegation maybe.
    • I think our forwards have been great and can match it with most. It's the backs and in particular the halves that can't score points. Only Semi in the backs has a points tally.
  • The backs are the problem Frankie. Run out wide and you'll score against Parra. As for scoring points, last week was a rarity Norman and Sandow fired at the same time. Can't blame the forwards for Parra struggling to score points.
    • hmmm 30 points aint enough? Parra don't have a problem scoring points. I will agree with you though that our right edge can not defend.

Earlier in the year when we had most of our starting outside backs injured, we were crap on both sides. I think the left side is now ok, especially with Taka slowly improving after his injury.

  • Yea Watmough is the worst buy of the year

ADAM BLAIR,DANE NIELSEN and Sisa Waqa have the Melbourne factor, that they have to play well for

Melbourne as they are pushed so hard compared to other clubs.(and have the big 3 around them)

Other then  Melbourne they have done fu#k all

BEN BARBA an ADAM BLAIR were shit last year so what else has changed...Nothing

So we have a winner Watmough of course and he came to us.

    We are so lucky

  • By far the worst buy of the year and he will be next year as well ..... Watmough will only get worse. I'll bet my dole cheque on it.

  • Don't agree
Watmough is tough as nails and extremely competitive
He also is smart and has lots of experience
That will rub off well on team attitude
He has been playing well but I think he is carrying some injuries that have lead to more mistakes than usual and less game
Also been targeted this as revenge for leaving Manly and to make an example of him
    Great buy IMO
  • What a stupid ridiculous article.

Got the order wrong, Watmough is by far the worst signing for 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018. For approx. $29k per game, yes that right, $29k per game we are getting a load of rubbish from this pretender of a first grader. You can guarantee at least 2 mistakes a game from him, not helping Parra's record as the club with the most mistakes per game, and just about ineffective everywhere else.

For some reason slip and Phil believe that his influence is worth $29k per game, really, what influence is he providing? We are losing MORE games this season than last year, maybe this is because of his influence?
