    And the fact that the walk to Parra station is easy even after a day of drinking at the game. There are even kebab and burger joints on the way. Trust me I've done it plenty of times. Quite often stopping at the Oaks on the way.

  I was wondering about this. The building sits out a lot further than nearby buildings. I reckon it has been slated for demolition for decades. Why else would they have built those 1980s buildings so far back?

    Yeah, agree - sooner or later the road was going to expand and they've clearly been setting the buildings back for decades.

    It's not ideal - but it's progress.

    Bit like ripping down the great Parramatta Stadium to whack up a new one.
