I have heard this from many sources and it is very strong news that roy asotasi will be realeased from souths if greg inglis signs with rabbitohs. It is rumoured that souths are frustrated that asotasi with his previous below average seasons SOUTHS STILL HAVE AMBITIONS OF SIGNING THE THREE BURGESS BROTHERS.
Just like every other avalable player Asotasi has been linked to the parramatta eels I DONT IF PARRA HAVE ANY INTREST IN ASOTASI BUT THEY MIGHT.
News coming out of england that matt orford will sign with EELS but this dependent on a realease bill of up to $ 200,000 . Canberra chances of having a big play at orford have also been boosted with the inevitable realease of star center Joel Monaghan but it might be to late for the Raiders.
My personal feelings about Asotasi and Orford are as follows:
right now i think the best option for the eels is to sign Matt Orford
I am not saying that i wouldnt be happy with the signing of Asotasi
PS: Paul Osbourne has opproached Greg Inglis but it is believed that is to late and Inglis will sign with the rabbitohs later this week.

It's like we're the only club that has to put up with persistent rumours.
On what you've said though, it was already a known fact that Asotasi would be the man to give way for Inglis to sign with Souths, as well as Michael Crocker, but that's despite reassurances from Shane Richardson that Souths won't have to get rid of anyone.
Also, I don't get the point in getting the other Burgess brothers as none are as good as Sam, and probably won't be.

Do we not have enough friken forwards? what are we planning to do, outmuscle the teams to death and beat every team 1-0 every single game relying on a field goal to be scored as our only form of attack?

Inglis definitely not coming to Parra.
Halfback who knows. Given Parra's passion for signing young halves in the off season it would make sense that they are looking to the future and I would think Orford may be a one year option to bring along the likes of Mortimer, Murray and so on
Also, we don't have a need for Asotasi, so I wouldn't read too much into what they may be saying on the Souths forum.
One thing I can say for sure is that I love this site and judging by a lot of comments on this site, Eels fans are an extremely smart bunch.
