  • Troll level 100. You've gotta admire BAs stubbornness 😂.  I reckon if Brads disposable BIC biro ran out he'd go out , catch an octopus and refil the ink before he caved and simply bought a new one.

    • BA's team selection is based on player salary, not player form or game day tactics.

How this simple man became head coach is one of the mysteries we will never know unfortunately.

A decent coach with this roster for the past 3 years would have won a title by now. With the recent departures, it's become obvious there has been no forward planning or junior development. The bench is the weakest in the NRL (behind Tigers)

      • Without going into whether he's a dope coach or not , I'm just curious about your roster comment .

I reckon our rosters a bit of a bum roster on paper if you're measuring by personal accolades. There's probably only 2 or 3 coaches at best that would've stood a chance of getting them to win a premiership. Now that may well be BAs or the clubs fault for not recruiting , and yup maybe that makes him or them useless . But the squads pretty darned shit. Anything you're seeing that ain't shit is because they mostly came here shit and he improved them. My arguments always been we should be buying better players and improving them as well as just buying the shit players. Look at RCG and Moses , that's what happens when you buy decent players to work on.

        • Your correct, we just don't seem to go after young players with potential. The Rabbits centre that's about to lose his spot to Wighton will soon be available.

        • Bennett is the coach we should have bought. The selections baffle me. Hayze is not ready for first grade.  It would be really embrassing if hayze was run over by ba s reject.. The bench needs another middle. The forward planning that's baffling for me. Top 30 players that will never see first grade.

            • Simmo will only be a week with the concussion rule. wont he?

Interesting to see when he is available if they pick him in the centres, he played alright there last week.

Funny story I got a news alert on my phone that Parra had signed a new player from PNG, the picture was a bit ambigous as I couldn't tell whether he was a back or a forward, big strong bugger built like a pocket battleship.....here I am thinking another Oram.....so I google up the surame "Albert" and couldn't see it untill I got down the page and Elsie Albert comes up......it was for our womens team.....let me tell you looking at her picture, she would have bigger balls that Russell and Dunster LOL

PS Her profile said she was the PNG Captain that made the semi finals at the last world cup, at that point I still didn't realise it was not a bloke.

          • With respect Darren, Bennett was not available to be purchased......you just cant go up to the RL Store and say I will have a Bennett model please......a lot of gooses on here (not you darren) think you go and buy chess pieces, Wiz's post was right, basically we had a shit roster (getting worse). The coach has done well with that roster, but the reality would seem to be that he is so used to driving a bomb and getting heaps out of it, he has lost the rationale to drive a new shiny one!
